A little bit of history
September 1982
Marino Bernasconi starts his own business bearing the same name by setting up his company's office in a corner of the garage of his own house. In the beginning the business starts out mainly by offering product consulting exclusively for the Canton of Ticino.
1984
Thanks to the strong growth of the construction sector, the Marino Bernasconi Company hires its first employees. The company's staff grows to 3 and not much space is left in the garage.
1986
Marino Bernasconi is awarded for being the best salesman at Weyel AG, the company for which he is a sales consultant.
1989
The company wants to grow and in order to make its presence be felt on the market it needs new ideas. Marino Bernasconi designs and develops a new product called "LaTettoia".
1992
Finally the "LaTettoia" becomes a reality. The first patent as well as the logo of the system is registered. As for the company, the current available space has become insufficient; therefore everything is moved to the World Trade Center in Agno (in order to proudly represent the company), a storage room is also rented. The staff grows to 5.
1993
The company continues to grow with the addition of new staff members. The oldest son, Alessandro, joins the company, he is in charge of administrative work and logistics.
1994-1995
Following additional improvements of the product (detail refinements and registration of additional features) its sale starts and the "LaTettoia" meets a huge success on the market.
1996
Following the big success of the "LaTettoia" and in view of the significant investments that were necessary to build our own manufacturing plant, the Lober SA Company is founded; it complements the main consulting activity.
1996-1997
In view of the increasing market presence of both companies (Lober SA for the "LaTettoia" as well as for the consulting business) it is decided to channel every effort into the company which is better known in this market (Marino Bernasconi has been in business for 15 years already…).
1997
Creation of the SA. The Europrodotti Marino Bernasconi SA becomes a reality and it is ready to face new challenges and to launch itself all over Switzerland with its own commercial network. This is possible also because the second son, Andrea, joins the company; he is in charge of the sales department.
1998
Completion of the merger with Lober SA. The staff now totals 9 people. The new SA experiences great success immediately.
1988-2001
The hard work of the past few years is paying off and the Europrodotti Marino Bernasconi SA has now become the Swiss leader in its line of products; the numbers confirm this: since 1998 profits have increased by 4 folds. The staff has grown to 19 people! The main Swiss German partner is the company E. AG, located in Winterthur.
2001-2002
In view of the strong growth of the past few years, logistic problems are again affecting the company since the offices, the production facilities and the warehouse are all located in 3 different towns. It is necessary to put everything together in order to take full advantage of the resources. It is decided to build our own headquarters and the ideal location is found in Bedano. This proves to be a great geographical location because it is only 1 km from away the Lugano Nord freeway exit (the building is visible from the freeway).
2002
Finally, after considerable additional efforts and investments, in April 2002 the company is moved once again and in September, with a proper ceremony, the opening of the new headquarters is celebrated.
